Bernadette’s Wings of Hope (BWOH) is a faith-based, pro-life non-profit organisation dedicated to restoring dignity, healing, and purpose to women, girls, and families facing crisis situations. Founded in July 2019 by Gladys Mudukuti, our mission is rooted in compassion, spiritual support, and a deep commitment to protecting and honoring the value of both mother and child.
We believe every life carries God-given worth. Through our work, we walk alongside vulnerable girls and women with gentle, non-judgmental support—helping them navigate difficult circumstances with hope, clarity, and confidence.
Who We Serve
We support communities across Zimbabwe, with a special focus on:
- Pregnant teens and women facing emotional or social distress
- Girls and women experiencing unwanted or crisis pregnancies
- Survivors of rape, sexual abuse, or early forced marriages
- Child-headed households
- Abandoned or vulnerable children
- Individuals coping with HIV-related challenges
- Those seeking healing and restoration after trauma
Our approach is holistic, addressing emotional, spiritual, and practical needs so that every person who walks through our doors feels seen, heard, and valued.
What We Do
Through our outreach and dedicated support programs, we provide:
Crisis & Pregnancy Support
A safe, confidential space where pregnant teens and women can receive compassionate counselling, explore life-affirming options, and access the guidance they need to protect their wellbeing and their unborn child.
Advocacy for Justice
We stand firmly with girls and women who have faced rape, abuse, or exploitation. We advocate for their protection, access to justice, and long-term recovery.
Community Outreach
We visit communities, schools, clinics, and maternity wards—meeting people where they are and offering support through prayer, mentorship, and practical care.
Emotional & Spiritual Healing
Through one-on-one counselling, prayer groups, and mentorship, we walk with individuals on their journey toward emotional strength, spiritual growth, and restored hope.
Livelihood & Skills Support
We help young mothers and vulnerable families build sustainable skills and income opportunities so they can stand on their own and provide for their households.
OUR VISION
OUR DOCTRINE
- At Bernadette’s Wings of Hope, we desire to glorify God in all we do. We are committed to speaking the truth in love, with prayer as the foundation of our work. Unconditional love is at the heart of our ministry. We believe in evangelism that gently and lovingly reconciles people with God. We honor the sanctity of human life, uphold sexual purity outside of marriage, and promote faithfulness within marriage. Our goal is to strengthen families, celebrate marriage, and build unity within the Body of Christ by working together as a team. We recognize God as our source and joyfully submit our personal and cultural values to the authority of His Word and the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
- Our focus is to serve those in crisis, especially individuals facing unwanted pregnancies, contemplating abortion, or struggling with post-abortion trauma. We offer emotional and spiritual support to help them find healing, hope, and restoration.
- Confidentiality is foundational to everything we do. Clients are treated with dignity, compassion, and respect for their privacy.
- We are committed to excellence. Supervision, accountability, and integrity are built into every aspect of our work, ensuring our clients receive the highest care and support.
